AI software is pretty cool!
Our primary focus will be on exploring the unique and amazing software called Midjourney, my favorite primary tool for crafting stunning AI-generated artwork. Midjourney is considered one of the best in today’s AI image creation realm, and we’ll guide you through the new and easy process of setting it up & creating an account.
We will also use the natural language processing tools, Chat GPT & Claude, that are driven by AI technology, to help with image prompts and productivity which can help immensely in creating your vision and can also create good looking AI images! Exploring different types of software in the AI world will help you understand how to create better images than ever before.
Throughout the course, I’ll provide comprehensive instructions and tips to get you started and you’ll quickly grasp why AI technology has been creating such a buzz. The best part is you don't need to be a tech expert to dive in. In this class, we will pull back the curtain on how it all works, show you what's possible, and give you a real feel for why this might be the most exciting creative tool to come along in years.

A word of caution – using this software can become quite addictive! The creative potential it offers is virtually limitless, which often leads to late-night brainstorming and creation sessions.

Harnessing AI in
Photoshop!
Photoshop for some time now has been integrating AI technology into various facets of this powerful software. Some of the new innovative AI features like the ‘Remove’ tool that’s astonishingly effective and the much-appreciated ‘Denoise’ slider in Raw and so many more new tools demonstrate how Photoshop is truly revolutionizing the field of post processing.
However, the real game-changer lies in the ‘Generative Fill’ function, now powered by AI technology – the capabilities of this tool are simply astounding! Gen fill has changed my workflow immensly on my photographs and AI images and we will look at some cool examples of it.
I left the darkroom for Photoshop when version 2 came out in the mid 90's and never looked back. I taught Photoshop at many schools, wrote a book on my favorite Photoshop Plugins and also led a Photoshop Meetup group at Apple in Santa Monica for years. Their software is the lifeblood of photographers and it also is incredibly helpful for your AI images. I will show you some cool things that will help your workflow and open your eyes.

1. Once you have signed up, I’ll email you a link for the GoToMeeting online screen sharing session for the class on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. You can check into the class around 10-15 minutes early before the 10am PDT / 1PM EDT start time.
2. This comprehensive workshop will dive into the realm of AI image creation, covering necessary software, prompt creation, navigation techniques, and using Photoshop & other software to enhance the resolution and appearance of your AI-generated image. Additionally, we’ll explore the newly integrated AI in Photoshop and discuss why it’s such a game-changer. Prepare for an action-packed online learning experience!
3. The online class will run approx. 4 hours but may go a little longer if needed.
4. This class is interactive with the audio always turned on to allow students to ask questions anytime but muted when not asking questions.
5. After the class, you will receive a link to the recorded video of the AI class. You can watch the class again at anytime online for up to one year or download the video file to keep forever.
