"the real journey of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes"

Marcel Proust

I've had many gifts in my life...but maybe the best one of all was the camera my father gave me when I was ten years old. Albert Einstein said "Imagination is more important than knowledge", and with that camera, my photographs let my imagination come to life. A few years later a whole new world opened up for me when my parents built a darkroom for me in our basement.

Under the safelights, smelling chemicals and listening to music, I lost all track of time watching my images come to life. Although I've been using Photoshop for many years, it was the countless hours in the darkroom that made me fall in love with photography.

I feel, just like Cartier-Bresson felt, that the camera is an extension of my eye. And although a photograph is seen with the eye, it is made with the mind. And my mind always seems to be surveying the constant movement in which life unfolds because great moments are born from great opportunity. Capturing that moment in time keeps us living that moment forever.

I love shooting so many different things at home and abroad...but my main focus is on travel photography as I love traveling all through this beautiful world capturiing it with my camera.

Much of my life was dedicated to Stock Photography but so many things have changed with shooting and selling stock and I do not like where it has gone.

I also have been working with AI images for quite some time and really love what I can create in this new avenue of the art world.

I have also taught Photography and Photoshop for many years at different schools since 2004 and in 2011 was honored to win Outstanding Instructor of the Year at UCLA Extension. In late 2011, I moved with my fiancée Holly to the gorgeous city of Sedona, Arizona which was a move long time in coming.

And though I haven't shot film in over 20 years, I realize that photography is more than talking about pixels. It is about vision, ideas and the willingness to allow your imagination to soar.
